The Chilean Palm coconuts or “coquitos” are the seeds of the Chilean Wine Palm, scientifically known as Jubaea chilensis. Each seed is enveloped in a sweet, juicy pulp followed by a tough outer shell. Inside lies the small edible coconut, technically a drupe rather than a nut, measuring 2 centimeters in diameter. Its edible portion consists of a cellular layer of endosperm deposited along the coconut's walls, forming the delectable “coquitos” flesh.

KEY BENEFITS Coquito nuts are a source of fiber to regulate the digestive tract, vitamin K to assist in faster wound healing, and vitamin C to strengthen the immune system while reducing inflammation.
